[Leonhardt honestly isn't sure what actually happened. Either there was some strange politics involved, or the Count used his abilities to save his life. Those are his going theories for now.]
That is what I was told and Specialist Davis would not have any known reason to wish to increase the numbers of cultists.
[He takes another sip of the tea as he considers that. It does sound as if his voice is growing fainter and he's probably reaching the limit of how much he can speak for now.]
It is the same with the one from my world, except that it has other effects.
[And actually, since his voice is pretty much about gone now, he's going to go ahead and pull out a notebook of his. From the looks of things, it's something he had in his world. He turns it to a page where he noted observations of an item called "The Gospel". It lists off various noted effects: stopping the effect of an artifact and breaking it, a power outage in Zeiss, unsealing the Shining Ring, creating "ghosts", causing earthquakes, making a machine act on its own, causing realistic dreams (this one has an added note that Dream Shifters are similar to this effect, that obviously was written later), controlling a dragon. Definitely sounds like a very strange item indeed. There are other things said on it, but it's far more technical overall. It's evident from the page that he did do some extensive research on this item and the first two effects hint towards the use he's considering here because they drain power.]
