voice. [locked to residents]

[It's been almost two weeks since the mission, and Kotetsu's barely managed to hold himself together during that time; a royal mess, you'd say. But with the arrival of Kaede and the underlying truth that, eventually, it'd be brought up... He decides he'll put his two cents out there.]

... A while ago, me and a buncha' others went on a mission. It was s'pposed to be a pretty normal thing; I mean, routine stuff. But then, we were attacked... and things got a little fuzzy and crazier than it should've. [A pause, as he considers what to say. How to say it. Maybe he shoulda' picked out someone who was better at words or... hell, even wrote down what he was planning to say. As it is, he's sitting here with a few bullet points scribbled out, itching his head.]

From what everyone could tell, it was a band of dream shifters, like the kind people fought before. And that General Ass--... guy was in there, too. I met him in a dream, and he basically helped to get me out of it. Like he did for other people. It's pretty confusing, you know? That he'd help us out. But he told me... before everything got hard to keep track of, he told me that...

[He massages his temple, trying to remember the exact words.]

He said they wanted to offer us to the planet. Some--special hour, or something. That his people had a bigger plan for us. Said he'd kill me right where I was if it wasn't for everything else goin' on. Tch, he was basically just a confusing bastard. But what I could tell was that there were people like him--those third party fellas--that weren't on his side. Dream guys who wanted him to go down, because he was just as stuck as we were by the looks of it. Or else he'd just let us all die and be on his way, right?

And--! (shi-) [flipping over a paper, one sec] He said something about.... Shamans...? That things don't stay dead without 'em. He was looking for one while we were stuck there.

[There's a hushed silence. Sounding pretty uncool there Kaburagi. Try to at least sound like you know exactly what to include.]

I, uh, don't know what else I should add. It was all a pretty big blur, but I figured... the malnosso tried to get me to talk about it, but I figured it'd be better off here. The people who were there can also add some stuff here. Leave the line open for all the stuff they can--contribute? [is that a decent way of phrasing it] Or if anyone has any questions I'll try my best to answer 'em. I think this info is just as much yours as it is anyone there. The others probably got things more thought-out than me... so...

Alright.

[OKAY I'M GOOD

I'LL JUST

STOP HERE

because talking in length about this frustrating shit is too much]

((ooc: basically a free-for-all, especially for anyone who has anything to offer from the mission! I figured we could have this up even without everything threaded out, can add replies as we go? go for the stars, n' stuff. :|))

[Yes, it really should, though Kotetsu did point out at least that an alliance with the traitors is not a good idea already.]

It did. When one's life is on the line, they may act strangely and allying with an enemy is not unknown.

Mm. [And it's Gai, so. He shouldn't be surprised there.]

Anyways, thanks for passing that along. I wasn't on that mission. The closest the Shifter came to implying anything of that nature when I was around was saying that we were the reason that guy went to them.

She said much the same to me, except she added that it was all my doing. I was able to put the pieces together then as to what mission it was.

In your view, do you think at least Specialist Davis should be informed of this development? It would aid his men in their fight and he may have information to aid us in this. But it also could be risky for all with us not knowing who pulls his strings. [Besides that rumor that he's in CJ's pocket, which does explain much.]

Look at it this way. There is nothing we can do about this problem on our own from the inside here. The situation is going to deteriorate the longer we sit on it. Troublesome as it is, if not Davis, we will need to contact someone within the organization before much longer.

We do, it is just a matter of who to trust with this sort of information. Specialist Davis seems ideal, but we barely know him and do not know what may be done with this.

The next most ideal would be the Commandant herself, but a cover story would be needed to cover up our own role in this.

But then with either, the soonest we are likely to see them is the next draft, which may be up to two months away still considering the current patterns.

[Shikamaru doesn't trust the Commandant at all, but Leonhardt is right that she's probably the next best choice. Unless they somehow meet that Carol woman again.]

That'll be the window to shoot for. Wait any longer, and it'd have to the draft after that, unless another mission falls into our lap.

And that is likely not for another nearly a year. They have been following a pattern of about every four to six months as of late and it has indeed been four months since the last one since my inability to speak is mostly gone now.

Then it would appear I shall hope to be on the list this time and it comes sooner rather than later. If I am not, then I will prepare something to give to the Specialist and one for the Commandant in case the Specialist is not present.

It would be ill-advised to speak of the Count being their leader and that it was known we caused it. It may cause suspicion and make our position worse. It is also not exactly going to be good news to hear and since I am indirectly responsible for it, then it should fall to me.

No argument.

[He's not the only one hearing this, though. This is just a reminder that whatever decision Leonhardt comes to, he should make it quick.]

[And the original question was truly more along the lines of "Do you see any reason not to do this?" He knows someone has to be told, but they have limited information and know little of who can be trusted. If Shikamaru had something Leonhardt did not on the Specialist or Commandant, then he wants to hear it. It does seem that the next draft will have Leonhardt seeking out Specialist Davis, and if he is not present, then the Commandant. If she is not present, then a message will be passed to her via the highest ranking officer present.]

Then it will be done the next draft as early as possible.

[There's always reasons not to do something. The question instead comes to be if there's any benefits to sitting on it. There are none for them here like this. The only thing left after that is to choose carefully who gets the information in the end.

Shikamaru leaves the conversation at that, but he'll probably check later on to see how things went.]
