[Locked Transmission to Residents]

Residents. This is Chief Petty Officer Daisy SPARTAN-023.

I am informing that on July 15th of the fifth registered cycle of the Luceti enclosure, we are getting close on cracking the code for the card key and the terminals found for the recently discovered installations in the tunnels. Now the decision lies on which door to open for our benefit.

The doors present in the new areas reached are the following:

- Archives
- Armory
- Call Center
- Classified
- Garage
- R&D
- Recreation
- Security
- Storage

Due to the risk of the card being good for one use only as a likely safety procedure used in the past for these installations, this choice will be held by democratic vote. We don't know what will be find in any of these doors, so choose wisely. While intel is always precious in this place... so is tech.

((OOC: This is a discussion post, use it for your characters to speak about the possibilities and the tunnels that could be used, and why.))

Garages are where people typically store useful things they need immediate access to.

Maybe even something that can stop us from being trapped here in the village area.

I doubt that anything they'd have in there would break us past the barrier. As for travel, there aren't any roads, so unless there are vehicles that can traverse through the forests, it doesn't seem like something we need to explore immediately. [Not when you can walk or ride or even teleport to most places.]

Grandpa, Korra, and Bolin could probably do those up if we ever needed roads?

If they wanted to, I mean. But it shouldn't be THAT hard with earthbending?

For the first time you've actually come up with a sensible idea. I'm impressed. [Half sarcasm. He did think it was a good idea for those who can't already fly.]
breezing: (- HATE YOU.)

Hey, I've come up with PLENTY of good ideas!!

But that one's just obvious 'cause anyone who wants to build something fast back home had better find themselves an earthbender to help out.
tokennonbender: (Okay don't tell anyone but...)

Well we don't really know. But if they did go beyond the bubble...they'd be most likely to keep whatever they used in the garage.

[Well, she thinks anyway.]

We're not going to find any technology that uses shifting down here - of that I'm certain, if nothing else. But we'll see what that door is hiding eventually.
tokennonbender: (Oh this could work.)

audio

[personal profile] tokennonbender 2013-07-18 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
What do you think we'll find, then?
wise_maiden: (the voices that are carrying this tune)

In the garage? Presumably the sort of vehicles we've seen present during missions and in other enclosures. Jeeps, cars, maybe tractors. All potentially useful in the long run, but for the first door? We've been without for this long.
tokennonbender: (Oh this could work.)

audio

[personal profile] tokennonbender 2013-07-19 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
So which door would you open then?
wise_maiden: (but the time has come to move along)

I'd hope to have them all opened in time, presuming the card still functions. I think the archives are the best to start with, and then we'd continue on in a logical order from there - storage, security, things like that.
tokennonbender: (I think maybe...no.)

audio

[personal profile] tokennonbender 2013-07-19 08:55 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm. I've never been down there honestly, so I don't know much about it. There are people here with remarkable powers, can't they do something about the doors?
wise_maiden: (listen up and take notes)

audio

[personal profile] wise_maiden 2013-07-19 12:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Powers don't work down here. Besides, other things have been already tested to get the doors open, and they've been met with no result.
tokennonbender: (Oh this could work.)

audio

[personal profile] tokennonbender 2013-07-20 10:11 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. What if you had someone use their power from up here?
wise_maiden: (the sky is a hazy shade of winter)

audio

[personal profile] wise_maiden 2013-07-20 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
The location of the rooms would make that impossible as well.
tokennonbender: (Why yes I do usually get my way.)

audio

[personal profile] tokennonbender 2013-07-21 09:41 am (UTC)(link)
I see.

[She sighs.]

It seems a risk to open any of the doors, for all we know the names could be mislabeled and they could lead to a closet.
wise_maiden: (through so many splintered trees)

[personal profile] wise_maiden 2013-07-21 11:48 am (UTC)(link)
I doubt we're going to find much beyond the labels that hasn't been already cleared out, however it's evident that others have wanted to get down here to begin with - so there's something here. Hopefully nothing that will cause another situation like the one a few months ago - but that remains to be seen.
tokennonbender: (Oh this should be sweet.)

[personal profile] tokennonbender 2013-07-25 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
You mean the wings and everything? You think they're connected?

[Asami hasn't been here that long...]

Well - I doubt there's yet another spirit being kept under here, but then again, we hardly expected to find one there in the first place. But some abomination being held down there in place by shifts? It wouldn't be the first time we've heard of something like that being tampered with. The presence of an actual skeleton is enough for any amount of caution to be taken.

We also don't fully know the motivations of those who originally held the key to the area to begin with.
