[Locked to Residents]
[After dusk on the evening of the second day, two people approach the entrance to the tunnels. One remains above, casually acting as a lookout, while the other slips into the tunnel once the coast is clear. A short while later, the following typewritten message appears on the journal.
For once, Minato has a lot to say, and the text (and the privacy) are necessary for making sure it works out.]
Hello, Luceti. My name is Minato Arisato. I'm using the secure network for this message.
We know that Kin'cora is just one of the enclosures outside of Luceti. Normally we don't get to see people from outside except on missions. Right now we have a special chance.
I've seen people on both sides getting angry about this situation. But the reality is, we are all on the same side. Every person in an enclosure is kept ignorant by the Malnosso. We still don't know much about what happens in this world beyond the war. Neither do the Kin'corans. And that's our chance. I want to ask everyone to try and befriend as many visitors as you can. They won't be here forever. That means they'll end up in other places. If they know they have people here willing to help them, we'll have the advantage.
Back home, I found power from making connections with strangers I could have ignored. It's the same here. Two enclosures are much stronger than one. We don't know when we might meet the Kin'corans again on a mission. If we do, we can exchange information. But if they are still afraid of us when that happens, they won't help.
I know it won't be easy. But we can't think of this as a problem. This is a chance that we can't waste.
Thanks for reading. If someone else has something to say securely, please go ahead. The Malnosso can't access this posting.
[And so ends the longest thing he's written since coming to Luceti. Maybe no one will listen. Maybe they will. But Minato is confident that something will change. Luceti is full of good people in a bad situation - just as Kin'cora must be. They have the power to work things out.]

This is exactly the kind of thinking that we need. Working together with people from all over is how the Rebellion took down the Empire.
Have you managed to talk to any of the Kin'corans?

It stands to reason we may have met people from Kin'cora before though.

...Probably as good a time as any to speak up.]
It's good to know that you're having faith, but...is it still possible to reach out to them?

No--I wasn't trying to give off an uncaring vibe. Sorry.
It's just, I'd like to be optimistic about this situation, but I can't help expecting the worst of this.

[Between coming back to one of his best friends leaving and coming back with his memories intact, with lots of debts weighing down on him, he hasn't been in the best state of mind.
Not that neither Minato, nor Haruhi would know at this time...]

I think that's a wonderful idea! You're exactly right--it's always better to make friends. ♥
[Minato will doubtless be not at all surprised that she and Ryoji got along beautifully when he was in Luceti.]

I'm glad you think so too.

But all in all, besides Keiichi apparently being in the mood to stay at home and work on his paintings and such there's nothing to worry about. At least on Minato's part, Haruhi may have some words for her vice-president for not appearing at the headquarters today and without warning. At any rate, a familiar handwriting for Minato will appear in the journals.]
That's true. It's logical that they would be angry, they have suffered an invasion and been thrown to a place that is much better than their own place. We have always been lucky to be able to not suffer those invasions and in the past when those happened they were repelled, but those people haven't been that lucky, they aren't just prisoners like us, they are now war refugees as well and that's a tough role. And it's easy for us to be angry at them for "invading" so suddenly, except that it was never their choice and it's not really that bad to have new people come in, new air in the room avoids the air to become stagnant even if it's just let in for a little while.
[See he even manages to write down things that sound like what Keiichi would normally say, he really thinks them, even if for each sentence and hope in that paragraph he has ten "but"s running in his mind that give him reasons to be wary of the Kin'corans.]
But there's no need for you to reach to all of them yourself, you know. There are many of us here, let others make some bonds and come home soon before it gets late.
[And dangerous. But it's always dangerous, then again Minato is strong. Yes, he's strong, it's not dangerous for him yet. But it may be dangerous later. Inside home it's safer, even with that girl here, she may be harmless after all and if not this is their home, they have advantage here.
... His wrist is a bit itchy now.]
[Written]
I'll be back soon.
Haruhi was looking for you.
[Written]
I'm home.
[For half a minute that's all he sends in answer, as if that explains anything. Of course it doesn't and even Keiichi realizes that.]
I'll talk with her
tomorrowlatersoonI'm sending her a message now.[Part of him wants to push it away, he doesn't want to have to explain why he hasn't appeared at the headquarters, specially after Minato's message. But Haruhi isn't just his boss, she's his friend and she deserves it, she doesn't deserve to be pushed away. She's not a bad girl, she's not dangerous, she has done so much for him, even if it was actually another version of her who did it, the memories are there for her so it's the same. It's one thing to keep himself from the Kin'corans, it's a completely different thing to keep himself from his friends.]

I've been saying since we heard about them that the Kin'corans were probably good people at heart. There's been quite a few troublemakers, but that's not nearly all of them.
From what I've seen, a lot of the Kin'corans have been pretty peaceful, too. We just need to talk to them.

It's a good idea and all, [and one he had figured on carrying through himself,] but are you sure it's wise to try anything with people who are this emotionally overworked right now?
